xvidcap stucks frequently

Hello!
         I compiled xvidacap 1.1.7 from source and trying to make a screen
cast but it gets stuck frequently when I switch windows back and forth. Is
there any better screen casting solution that don't get stuck while
Switching Windows frequently, showing compiz effects etc.
