No audio on F11 and pulseaudio questions

Sounds like you need the "Advanced volume control", in Preferences. (If
it isn't there, install gst-mixer.) It gives you access to all the
underlying ALSA stuff. The control has it's own prefs settings, which
you will probably need to make everything visible.
