F11 yum strange behaviour

I had tried that last night, to no avail.  But, this morning, it updated 
no problem.  Go figure!

I don't know.  I assume it got installed because its its a Dell 
Dimension 3000 desktop.  It was a surprise to me too, since I've never 
installed on a Dell before.
