kdesu not working

I was changing some preferences on KDE and bumped with a problem when
trying to change kdm settings. kdesu asks for the root password, and
after supplying it, it asks for it again (tried numerous times to
enter it, with the same result).

Is there something wrong with kdesu?

I'm with F11 with the latest updates.
