It's part of the kernel--should load automatically. If not, create a
script /etc/sysconfig/modules/thinkpad_acpi:
#!/bin/sh
if [ ! -c /dev/input/uinput ] ; then
exec /sbin/modprobe thinkpad_acpi >/dev/null 2>&1
fi
