Is F12 ready to upgrade ? Is it worth it ?

One of my servers has been upgraded in place since Fedora 8, or whatever
version of Fedora was first built for x86_64.
On average, upgrades in place either work fine, or you can't even upgrade at
all. The middle grown is very thin.
