front plugs audio problems with f11

f11 x86_64.
I have a pc (not laptop) that has front connectors for mic and headphones.
It was working with fc9 and f10 and it works with winxp (dual boot).

trying "out of the box" in f11 connecting the two plugs, none works.

Any tips?
