[Fedora-livecd-list] Setting X resolution

This is probably a dumb question, but I haven't managed to find an
answer yet so am hoping some one can point me in the right directions.

I am letting X auto configure off of the CD, this seems to be picking
the Video driver fine but I would like to be able to specify a higher
resolution. How can I force X to start at say 1024x768 instead of
800x600 which is what it would appear to be doing.

I have found that I am also having to create /dev/mouse
in /etc/udev/devices as well otherwise X fails to find the default
pointer device. I am probably going about this in the wrong way as well,
but it worked so that is how I am doing it.
