it's not about rpmbuild - it's about mach.

We have to get the buildreqs from somewhere. So if you read them from
the srpm made on fc3 and try to --rebuild the srpm on rawhide they're
going to be wrong. Moreover for this package does the buildreq REALLY
specifically require only python-abi 2.3?

I doubt it.
