Another late-breaking one:

Thunderbird crashed while trying to import my Mozilla Mail folders and
data.  Each attempt at starting Thunderbird would result in a segfault,
after that.

Removing ~/.thunderbird and -not- importing Mozilla data allowed me to
start TBird and manually import folders.

TBird is working fine for me this way -- just DON'T do an import from
Mozilla.
