major change release management for former Extras packages?

Why is this not integrated in koji, e.g. a button "request tag" for a package? 
Internally it may send an email to the release engeneering team, for 
maintainers imho it would be easier when there is one frontend and not a 
frontend and several e-mail adressess. Also the ability to remove packages 
from the repository or stopping them to go into one would be nice, afaik this 
has to be done with some e-mail, too.
