Subject: Minutes from the FIRST EVER MEETING!

These "minutes" are boiled down from about 2 hours of conversation. :)

1. EVERY EVENT IN 2006!

  The stated goal of the Fedora Ambassadors program is to have a
  presence at every significant Linux / open source event in the
  world in 2006. Everyone present agreed to this goal.

2. PUT THE EVENTS IN THE WIKI!

  In order to accomplish our goal, we need a comprehensive list of
  events, and we need to know who's planning on attending them.
  This list will be kept up-to-date at:

    http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraEvents

  It is EVERY AMBASSADOR'S RESPONSIBILITY to keep this list
  updated!

3. SPREAD THE WORD!

  Time to notify everybody about the Ambassadors program. Email,
  blog, whatever.  Spread the word.

4. ARGUE MORE ABOUT FUNDRAISING!

  A crucial question. It costs money for people to go to events,
  and we can ask them to:
    * Do it out of the goodness of their hearts;
    * Get their company to pay for it;
    * Sell Fedora-themed schwag onsite to get reimbursed;
    * Use Fedora Foundation budget to get them there.
  It's a crucial issue that we'll need to continue to discuss.

5. NEXT MEETING TIME!

  Probably the original meeting time as suggested by Alex. Which, for
  Americans, is Thanksgiving... so the Americans can suck it up, or
  not be present, heh.
