Again, an excerpt from the German:

"Wie bei anderen im Halbjahresrhythmus entwickelten Linux-Distributionen
zeichnet sich auch die neue Fedora-Version durch eine Vielzahl
evolutionärer Verbesserungen aus. (...)
(...) bei anderen Distributionen muss man hier auf das nächste Upgrade
warten oder selbst den Compiler anwerfen."

"As is the case with other semi-annually released Linux distros, the
latest Fedora version excels in a multitude of evolutionary
improvements. If you do a fresh install of Fedora, Fedora 8 would be the
best choice; many users would be tempted by upgrading the preceding
version. Especially FC 6 users would have to consider an upgrade, since
support for FC 6 ends beginning of December.

You won't find many revolutionary innovations in this distribution,
which did not have many noticeable events in its test phase. Examples
are the first parts of the Gnome Online Desktop, as well as PulseAudio -
the latter solving audio problems that have existed for years now. This
may end up being a default in the next versions of Ubuntu and OpenSuse.

Because of its careful modus operandi when it comes to software
restricted by patents and non-free licenses, and its self-imposed
limitations to open source software, Fedora is a bit less beginner
friendly than its two main competitors [needless to say, OpenSuse and
Ubuntu]. Instead, Fedora is tempting because of its repositories stuffed
with highly up-to-date software, continuously updated during the
supported period, with even new packages added to it. Because of new
kernel versions with all their new functions and drivers, hardware
support is permanently improved even for fresh hardware or hardware yet
to be launched in coming months; something other distributions have you
wait for for the next upgrade, or you'd have to throw your compiler at
it yourself."
