Paul Frields, Fedora’s project leader said in a statement about their 
findings: “The total number of users has always been an incredibly 
difficult number to measure. If you total up all the unique IP’s … on 
Fedora 7, 8 and 9, it adds up to about 9.5 million boxes right now.”
