eAccelerator is a further development of the MMCache PHP Accelerator & Encoder.
It increases performance of PHP scripts by caching them in compiled state, so
that the overhead of compiling is almost completely eliminated.

Update Information:

The PHP eAccelerator package required the exact same PHP version at runtime as the one used at compile time, which isn't needed as long as both versions provide the same Zend ABI. This update fixes this, making this package work properly with both PHP 5.2.2 and 5.2.3, and possibly future PHP updates.
