CenterIM is a text mode menu- and window-driven IM interface that supports
the ICQ2000, Yahoo!, MSN, AIM TOC, IRC, Gadu-Gadu and Jabber protocols.
Internal RSS reader and a client for LiveJournal are provided.

Update Information:

This update fixes problems caused by a recent ICQ protocol change which makes it impossible to retrieve status of a buddy which is stored only in local contact list. After applying this update, statues of buddies stored in server-based contact list will be reported correctly.

Please note that some users reported problems with server-based contact list even with the update applied. If you ever hit such behavior, please report it to aid debugging it.

Please note:

To avoid compatibility and confidentality problems with an undocumented protocol transported unencrypted over third-party controlled network, all users of ICQ protocol are encouraged to switch to open and free alteratives, such as XMPP used in Jabber network.
