Name : mkinitrd
Product : Fedora 10
Version : 6.0.71
Release : 3.fc10
URL : git://git.fedoraproject.org/git/hosted/mkinitrd
Summary : Creates an initial ramdisk image for preloading modules.
Description :
mkinitrd creates filesystem images for use as initial ram filesystem
(initramfs) images. These images are used to find and mount the root
filesystem.

Update Information:

This update fixes the "Could not detect stabilization, waiting 10 seconds" boot
message and the accompanying 10 second boot delay. It also fixes the system
not booting issue on systems with certain scsi adapters (adaptec aic7xxx,
amongst others). Merely applying this update is not enough to fix this, you
also need to regenerate your initrd by executing the following commands as root:
mv /boot/initrd-$(uname -r).img /boot/initrd-$(uname -r).img.old mkinitrd
/boot/initrd-$(uname -r).img $(uname -r) There is a (very small) chance that
this will render your system unbootable with the kernel you are running when
executing this command. If this happens you can still boot another kernel, or
you can edit your boot commands in the bootloader (grub) and append .old to the
initrd line.
