Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2008-0688

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : mod_fcgid
Product : Fedora 8
Version : 2.2
Release : 3.fc8
URL : http://fastcgi.coremail.cn/
Summary : Apache2 module for high-performance server-side scripting
Description :
mod_fcgid is a binary-compatible alternative to the Apache module mod_fastcgi.
mod_fcgid has a new process management strategy, which concentrates on reducing
the number of fastcgi servers, and kicking out corrupt fastcgi servers as soon
as possible.

Update Information:
This update addresses some problems when running mod_fcgid with SELinux in
enforcing mode. 1. Improvements to the SELinux policy for dealing with
temporary files created and used by FastCGI applications (e.g. attachment
handling in moin). 2. Fixing a bug whereby httpd would occasionally fail to
restart due to being prevented (by SELinux) from removing the shared memory file
used for communication with mod_fcgid. As part of this fix, the shared memory
file now defaults to being in the /var/run/mod_fcgid directory rather than the
/var/run directory.
