X-Chat is an easy to use graphical IRC chat client for the X Window System.
It allows you to join multiple IRC channels (chat rooms) at the same time,
talk publicly, private one-on-one conversations etc. Even file transfers
are possible.

This includes the plugins to run the Perl and Python scripts.

Update Information:

This update fixes the underscore in the "C_onnect" button appearing as a literal
underscore instead of a keyboard shortcut. In addition, it makes XChat show up
in the menus as "XChat IRC" rather than just "IRC", as agreed with the GNOME and
KDE maintainers, and also matching the upstream default.
