It's too bad this never saw any further review activity.  The links in comment
#14 are dead, and as I check the upstream site I don't even see any release
beyond 2.2.

So what should happen now?  If there's still a desire to get this package into
the distribution, go ahead and post some fresh packages and someone will take a
look.  Otherwise I guess we should just close this ticket.
