Consider this scenario:
- I want to package a plugin
- I want it to be automatically wrapped in nspluginwrapper if available

With the scheme I described, I could just put a small file into a known
directory and call the wrapper install utility. The utility scans the directory,
and creates the necessary symlinks (or whatever it does). When the package is
uninstalled, I call the utility to remove me and it removes the symlinks. I
don't have to insert stuff in a text file and subsequently remove it and run the
risk of erroneously removing the references to other plugins this way.
