It would be much better, in my opinion, to unpack the
archive in %prep and then do a cp -a in %install. That
way it is possible to look at the archive content and 
also do corrections (patches, moving things around),
it is especially importantn for people wanting to customize 
their system.

I also propose to put things in the directory making use of 
the rpm macros.

I post a patch.
