Comment #14 is a must fix. But in any case I have too much 
disagreement to approve this package (the use of autotools
and not shipping the api). I'll keep on commenting on other
issues, though. 

At the first %build line, there is a spurious
make %{?_smp_mflags}

I don't see other obvious issues.
