I am confused looking, matt -- GPL or LGPL -- the website states:

The calc program is free. It is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public
License.

Calc is open software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms
of the GNU Lesser General Public License as published by the Free Software
Foundation version 2.1 of the License.
