Also, I think (at least in F9/devel) you need to package Python egg-info files;
see http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/Python/Eggs.

Related to this, in %build, there is:

%if 0%{?fedora} >= 8

I think this should be:

%if 0%{?fedora} > 8

because F8 also needs the "import setuptools" stuff to create eggs.
