Hi Jess, hi Gianluca,

I'd really love to see syck back maintained and supporting YAML 1.1 or even 1.2
(http://code.google.com/p/yaml-cpp/ does it); as far as I can judge from the
alternatives' code basis, libyaml seems to be most suitable for extension as it
clearly follows formal grammar / parser theory patterns (BNF tokens etc.) but
maybe I'm just wrong here and underestimating syck.
Fedora's php-syck still seems to come from the original syck tarball instead of
php-pecl-syck, thus being utterly obsoleted. I'll file a bug report here right away.

Actually the file permissions issue is a classic amongst developers working in
heterogeneous environments as soon as the Redmond OS is involved. Btw. you can
also use -perm /111 to get u+x,g+x,o+x.

Hey, collaboration is what keeps the community alive and Free Software is what
makes us able to help our neighbor :)

Gianluca: Great! I know we're all busy and really appreciate your commitment here.
