Description: Songbird provides a public playground for Web media mash-ups by
providing developers with both desktop and Web APIs, developer
resources and fostering Open Web media standards.

Songbird is listed on the Package Maintainers wish list. It has come a long way since early development, does not require mp3 support, and any browser plugins are optional to the user.

Note: This is my first package submission and I am seeking a sponsor. I am aware of a couple .spec/build issues, but I thought it best to begin the review process now.
