The issue with logout I have already acknowledged and intend to fix, this IS a
packaging issue. I'm unsure about the places issue, this may also be a packaging
issue but I don't have places displayed on my applet at the moment (gconf thing).

As far as the applet crashing is concerned I am unsure but as this package is
being reviewed now for F9 it would be a good idea to run in rawhide until the
release next week if you intend to test it.
