About the problem with the getTmpDir() function in the unit tests, I think a
good solution would be to allow overriding of the default TMPDIR [currently
evaluated from: dirname(__FILE__)/zend_cache_tmp_dir], maybe as an ENV var or
better yet, a directive in Zend/tests/Zend/Config/_files/config.ini. This way,
it can be set to a convenient location, sort of the same idea as the TMPDIR ENV
variable.

Does that sound reasonable to you?

I will discuss it with the Zend Framework developers and keep you posted.
