I've asked the author for a licence clarification (at first I asked him to
change the module license to allow its inclusion into Fedora, but he made a
mistake leaving the "This library is..." sentence -- well, that was MY mistake
because I didn't realize it before submitting the request, sorry).

I've asked him about the tests too, and I hope he can tell me if the code is
stable enough to be included into Fedora or not (in last case, I'd close this
request).
