For Fedora 10 and 11, it builds cleanly, as well as for rawhide on i586 and
x86_64.

However, on rawhide ppc/ppc64, there seems to be stability problems (e.g.,
problem with the build/libtool tool on that platform for that version):

For EL-5, there seems to be an old issue (bug 227790) on having a noarch
sub-package:
