Sorry for the delay:

You could add a %check section:

%check
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./runtests.sh

This runs the python3 testsuite on each build to verify nothing is broken.

Currently here on my pc:
  18 BAD
 296 GOOD
  23 SKIPPED
 337 insgesamt
