Was there ever any progress on this package?  I wouldn't object to those build
dependencies, though these days we prefer using "tex(latex)" in Fedora to avoid
talking about any specific TeX distribution.  I've honestly no idea what might
be required for EPEL as it's getting so far behind in packaging now.
