How about fusecompress_offline1 since that's the name of the utility it
installs?

mv is being used to rename two files that were installed by make install.
(renaming the binary from fusecompress_offline to fusecompress_offline1 and the
man page from fusecompress_offline.1 to fusecompress_offline1.1) This seems
proper to me. Do you agree or is there some way to use install in that
situation that's better?
