Or, we just leave that nonsense out and key off the Requires:
kernel-%{_target_cpu}

So, once more:
- Does any kernel-module-openafs package exist on the system that
requires the same kernel-%{_target_cpu} = %{kver} as me?
- If yes, remove it (rpm -e --nodeps). If no, continue.
- Install new package (rpm -i)

I suspect this is very close to Jack's existing patch.
