*-firmware would sound better to me [1].  It would have the slight drawback 
that all firmware packages wouldn't sit next to each other in alphabetical 
listings, but... shrug.

[1] Usually roughly foo-bar: "bar" for "foo", bar-foo: "foo" for "bar"
