gnome-cpufreq-applet problem

Any attempts to start the 3rd party GNOME cpufreq applet (which can be
found at http://linups.org/~kal/gnome-cpufreq-applet/) will result in
two identical error messages like this:

avc:  denied  { search } for  pid=9558
exe=/usr/libexec/gnome-cpufreq-applet dev= ino=1
scontext=user_u:user_r:user_t tcontext=system_u:object_r:sysfs_t
tclass=dir

The program is trying to read in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/.
