nforce support?

I strongly advise you against it. 

I've also got a new computer recently and was considering an nforce
chipset. But all drivers are proprietary, you cannot even install linux
by network on it. I won't pay nvidia to make my life harder.

I do recommend what I've got - an intel i845 chipset. It has 3D support
( from tux racer to enemy teritorry, it works great out of the box ).
I've got a gigabyte mb with network, audio and video on it, working
almost great

I also don't have to manually install and wait for nvidia drivers now.
