This output is normal.  I was suspecting that perhaps you had something
else reserved in your first 4GB, but grub doesn't detect that.

I don't know enough about how PAE works on the AMD as compared to Intel,
but for some reason PAE isn't working right.  When the system boots,
check out the memory map in your /var/log/messages file.  It should look
something like this (this machine has 6GB and is an Intel, not AMD):
