RH recommends using Windows?

There is a vast difference between "Joe Sixpack" & the corporate
desktop.
Matthew is correct (albeit he could have phrased it better) in his
assertion that linux isn't there yet for Joe. The last paragraph is
possibly the most sensible.

Short answer. use the right tool for the job. And take all circumstances
into account

That being said, my 78 year old parents use RH on a daily basis. But
they have the virtue of an admin on call. :-)
