This sounds as a mixture between thread enabled widgets and non thread
enabled ones.

Sounds like your QTabBar class has some badly compiled code in it.
Could be a class installed from one binary (vyqchat or PSI) compiled
without the thread while the standard RH Qt has threading enabled.
