DHCP & /etc/resolv.conf

I have DHCP servers at both home and office for quick and easy network
configuration when I use a laptop. I've also installed caching name
server to my laptop and it works fine, but DHCP client always
regenerates /etc/resolv.conf, discarding old information, including
"nameserver 127.0.0.1".
Is there a way to have a permanent setting in /etc/resolv.conf and let
DHCP client change the rest regarding to where I'm located?
Regards,
