You should start redhat-config-xfree86 (either as root from a terminal
window or from the panel menue -> System -> Video).  choose the Tab
"Hardware" and check the monitor type. The Installation programm in some
cases uses the wrong monitor, esp. if you have a laptop or LCD panel.
Check the configuration values for the video controller as well.
