initscripts changes for 2.6 kernel support?

That's about #44 on the todo list. Note that aside from the
USB issue, I don't see any bugs in bugzilla about the others. *hint
hint*

That being said, *changing* the names of the usb modules is
the wrong solution, as that promptly breaks booting 2.4.
