anyone working with oracle 9ir2 under the beta?

  being a complete novice at oracle, i'd like to make a 
first attempt at installing oracle 9ir2.  are there any 
mailing lists devoted to oracle and linux?  i've found a 
number of web sites with instructions on how to install
9ir2 on red hat 9, but they all differ ever so subtlely in
their instructions, and it's not clear what's really, really
*necessary* sometimes, and what's just a good idea,
but optional.

  as an example, one site refers to configuring your new
installation to use the latest JDK, while another states that
oracle comes with its own (older) JRE, and that's just fine.

  what's a noob to believe?  anyway, just a pointer to a
mailing list would suffice, and i can take it from there.
