GNOME not starting and Xfree86 log file for 815 chipset

I have been having trouble with GNOME starting since upgrading to 
Severn. This problem happened with RHL9 with the nptl rawhide kernels also.

Attached is my XFree86.log file for the GNOME startx attempt. KDE starts 
alright. GNOME will launch and lockup at the initializing screen. No 
process ICONS ever get displayed.

This is on an 800 MHz - 815 chipset based computer with 512 Megs of 
memory and a PIII processor.
