    boot with vdso=0 and it'll very likely go away.
    Should be fixed in the next build that goes out.
    
As reported in another thread appending  vdso=0 to the boot line 
boots the kernel (thanks to  Dave Jones).

So now I am up and running  
   2.6.4-1.303 #1 Thu Apr 1 09:24:32 EST 2004 i686 athlon i386
