Dual boot FC2T2 and WinXP?

Already tried this with FC1:
"The partition table on device hda was unreadable to create new
partitions it must be initilized, causing the loss of ALL DATA on this
drive.
This operation will overide any previous installation choices about
which drives to ignore.
would you like to initilize this drive, erasing ALL DATA?"

HDA is not linux so that causes a problem. When installing FC2 (first time)
I did not change the partitions at all, I left them as they were in
FC1 but I had to format them or I could not continue install. I
was told not to do upgrades with test releases and any other option
requires a format doesn't it?
