CDROM Boot Image insanity

Let's see... off of the top of my head:

- For any machine that fails to boot CD1, does boot.iso boot when
  burned in the same way?
- For any machine that fails to boot CD1, does remaking CD1 with the
  instructions posted work? (copy the contents, remake the ISO)
