There was a thread "Dual boot FC2T2 and WinXP?" from Thu, 1 Apr 2004
16:39:38 that discussed problems with this type of configuration and HD
geometries, but apparently not exactly your problem.  There have been
LOTS of boot problems discussed on the list.
